CIVIL WAR AND NATURAL DISASTER

The 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami decimated several parts of Indonesia leaving thousands of victims traumatised, injured and homeless. The devastating event left many without work, while entire villages were literally washed away. The Tourism Industry and the economy is still recovering and progress has now been delayed due to Covid restrictions. Many in the hardest hit regions, such as Aceh province still suffer from high levels of PTSD.

Religious minorities are also frequently the victims of discrimination and persecution across Indonesia.

Our Planted for Purpose Trauma Healing and Reconciliation Course is now being used to bring hope and restoration to the people of Indonesia.
