Scales fell from her eyes
Tiwani grew up afraid of her gods.
“If we don’t say the right prayer, if we don’t give the right offering, they’ll hurt us," she said.
Fear was the whole relationship. Obedience brought some sense of safety, but nothing more.
Then a Project114 intercessor walked into her village and told her about a God who loves her.
Tiwani was intrigued but skeptical. A God who loves… and asks for nothing in return? She had never heard of such a strange thing.

The intercessor put her hands on Tiwani and prayed over her.
“It felt like scales fell from my eyes, and light penetrated my dark and broken heart,” Tiwani said.
Her whole life she had carried bitterness toward her father and other men in the village who abused her. But as they prayed, something began to change:
"Suddenly, years of rage and resentment started to fall off my shoulders like rocks rolling down a mountain,” she said.
In the place of anger, I felt hope that I could be restored. I even felt pity and forgiveness for my father and the other men who hurt me.
One prayer. One intercessor willing to travel to share Jesus and pray for people who may never have had someone pray for them by name.
